Tea Leaf Reading by Mark Wilco

Tasseomancy, or the art of reading tea leaves, finds itself at home equally in public parlors as it does at your own kitchen table.  Nothing special is needed aside from a simple cup and your favorite loose leaf tea.  Come learn a little about the history and practice of this humble art, and try your hand at interpreting the leaves for yourself under the guidance of an experienced reader.

Tea History with Judi Slack

The greatest sailing contest of all time started in southern China and ended with great drama in London, 159 years ago. "It is probable that no race ever sailed on blue water created so much excitement as the Great Tea Race of 1866," wrote maritime writer Basil Lubbock. Capturing international media attention and thrilling the public, the race that year to deliver the first tea of the season, began in Fuzhou, China on May 28, 1866. This tea race had all the danger, speed and speculation- people trying to guess the results, just like the frenzied, craziness of a top horse race. From the traders in the City of London to the locals in the humblest village inn, bets were placed and arguments raged over the favored contenders. Want to find out which clipper ship won? Join and see!  Led by Judi Slack educator of Tea History at Baldwin Wallace University.

Intro to Matcha with Tiffany Rupp
